About Place Making Architects

PLMA believes in a holistic design vision for each and every project.

We adhere that the ultimate goals of a successful design solution lies within the concept(s) that precisely cultivates the problem solving ideas and contents in which we strives on creating by blurring the boundary of the physical and sentimental threshold of our built environment and to accumulate spaces of emotions into a hierarchy manners.

It ranged from the very rough sketch design on the butter-paper, progressing to the on site field studies on architectonic and construction method(s) and subsequently to the test of time after the completion of the building(s).

We called it Place Making process.

Our Core Members

CHOOK, Jun Yet 祝俊業
M.Arch (UTAS, Aus), AG/C 431 [LAM]

For the past 15 years of accumulated professional experiences, Jun Yet has worked as design and project architect and was also an associate in CH&I Architecture Sdn Bhd.

He has works on various range of projects in Malaysia and international which include 51 storey Reizz Residence at Jalan Ampang, 28 units bungalows at Phase 3A1, Twin Palms Sungai Long , 36 units of Semi-D at Phase 3B1 at Twin Palms Sungai Long and 48 units of Bungalow and Semi-D at Phase 4A, TwinPalms Sungai Long, Residential High rise in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Believing that good design should not be limited as luxury entitlement for certain group of people, he also involves in small project like terrace house renovation and single bungalow projects. As such, he insisted that there is nothing too small to be designed and he adhere to that everything and everyone is matters in built environment design, and good design matters to everything and everyone.

LAW, Susanne 劉茹珊
B.Arch (UPM], A/L 454 (LAM)

Susanne graduated from University of Putra Malaysia (UPM), followed by her first degree in University of Tasmania, Australia with both major in Environmental Design + Architecture. She worked in Interior design firm and architect firm for more than 15 years. She has vast experiences especially on high rise projects and developments. She loves nature and this make her associates a lot of green feature into design. Therefore, she started to explore and work on landscape design. She believes in sustainable design aligning with nature more than technologies.

CHRIS LIU, Chee Kang 劉治康
M.Arch (UTAS, Aus), A/L 432 (LAM)

Chris has been as the project and design architect for 15 years in Malaysia. He has been in multiple established commercial architecture firms, heavily involved in various prolific commercial mix development project in Klang Valley, with a combined GDV of RM 1billion.
He worked closely with developers on master planning which has lead to his ability to perceived the values of architecture from different perspectives, allows him to provide outstanding outcome that maximize the value of both commercial and architecture.

He also actively involves in interior architecture that allows him to embrace his meticulous touch in carrying out the customization of every single details that define and redefine spaces.
